Channel Seven's heavily promoted Roast of John Cleese special was absolutely destroyed in the ratings on Tuesday night by Nine's Married At First Sight.
According to industry website TV Blackbox, 1,489,000 tuned into MAFS while the John Cleese special only attracted 458,000 viewers.
It comes after Seven heavily promoted the roast and brought in several Aussie stars to take a dig at Cleese, including Tom Gleeson, Joel Creasey and Rhonda Burchmore.
Viewers were much more interested in seeing MAFS couple Andrea Thompson and Richard Sauerman feud on screen during a very heated moment on the reality show.
Andrea's, 51, first blow out with the motivational speaker, 62, occurred earlier in the episode when they tried to discuss how they could save their fractured relationship.
