Huge Netflix show to RETURN for a seventh season and a release date is revealed ... trends now

Netflix has confirmed that one of their biggest shows will be returning for a new season next year.

The British sci-fi anthology series created by Charlie Brooker released its sixth season in June 2023 following a four-year hiatus.

Featuring performances by the likes of Oscar-winner Salma Hayek and Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, the five-episode installment was met with rave reviews.

So fans had plenty to celebrate with it was revealed this week that a seventh season of Netflix's Black Mirror is slated for 2025.

The news was announced during the Next on Netflix event in London on Thursday.

Netflix execs also teased a 'sequel' to the iconic Black Mirror episode 'USS Callister.'

Serving as the first episode of the fourth season, 'USS Callister' follows the gifted but reclusive co-creator of a popular online multiplayer game, Robert Daly (played by Jesse Plemons).

Daly decides to personalize a Star Trek-like adventure within the game where he role plays as captain of the USS Callister starship.

The story takes a disturbing turn as Daly uses his co-workers' DNA to create versions of them in the game that he's able to act out his frustrations on.

But a newcomer destroys Daly's cruel dictatorship as she convinces the other crew members to revolt against him.

The episode ends with Daly being deleted from the game — but, according to Netflix, the story continues.

'Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning,' Netflix said in a teaser, as per THR.
