Kate Hudson publicly came to the defense of her big brother Oliver Hudson, who made many headlines on March 17 for publicly blaming their famous mother Goldie Hawn for 'most' of his childhood trauma.

The 47-year-old And Just Like That actor attended a week-long psychological retreat at the Hoffman Institute, and recalled he 'felt unprotected at times' when the 78-year-old Oscar winner 'would be working and away, or she had new boyfriends that I didn't really like.'

Oliver - whose father Bill Hudson left the family when he was four - walked back his comments on the March 31th episode of their iHeartPodcast Sibling Revelry clarifying that 'there was no trauma coming from my mother, the way she raised me, in any way whatsoever.'

Hudson's social media was flooded with outraged comments over his nepo-baby privilege, and his Oscar-nominated sister - turning 45 this Friday - advised him to 'block the negative seekers.'

'He's afraid to say anything because he feels like things get picked up negatively, and I was like, "Who cares?" And then I really started thinking about it. I'm like, people do care, actually,' Kate - who boasts 21.5M social media followers - said on TikTok Monday.

'It's not nice when people take something out of context or they look at something you're doing and they get all negative about it and they poke at it and they scrutinize it and they criticize it.'

As a celebrity, Hudson admitted you just 'kind of have to get used to it because people can be so mean' and when she clicks on some of the haters in her comments, she frequently discovers they're fake accounts set up to troll people.

'You as the person that they're scrutinizing need to remember that any person who is doing that is one of a couple things: One, jealous. Two, not well. Three, incredibly and deeply unhappy. Four, bored as f***,' the Gonna Find Out singer listed.

'And then five, I'll just end with this one, even if they're kinda sane or whatever, they're definitely not the kind of person you'd be friends with. Like, let's be honest. You really want to be friends with people who go on other people's Instagrams and talks s*** or TikToks or whatever. No. You're friends with the people who talk amongst ourselves. We talk s*** amongst ourselves.'

Realizing the irony of her last statement, Kate cracked a duper's delight smile and laughed: 'I'm just kidding! We don't. I don't. I'm not a s*** talker.'

'That's what I said to my brother today: It just doesn't matter. No one really cares, and those who are writing all that stuff and it's, like, loud and it feels bad - just remember what I'm saying. These are not people you'd hang out with,' Hudson
