Sydney Sweeney's acting coach has now come to the defense of his former pupil after Hollywood producer Carol Baum's comments - which she has since backtracked on - that she was 'not pretty and can't act' created a firestorm.
The 26-year-old Anyone But You star's former acting coach Scott Sedita has praised his ex-student for being a well-trained actress but did agree that she does not have 'supermodel good looks' as he talked about her with TMZ on Thursday.
The author and acting coach said: 'Sydney is beautiful because she has inner depth, intellect, compassion, style and facial features -- eyes, smile, cheekbones -- that the camera angles pick up on.
'The camera loves her "look" as well as the audience. Audiences love her because she’s relatable and approachable.'

Scott was responding to Hollywood producer Carol who took aim at Sydney last week while speaking to New York Times film critic Janet Maslin in front of a live audience, with DailyMail.com exclusively revealing that she had accused Sydney of not being able to act while branding her film Anyone But You 'unwatchable.'
The acting coach did say that he is not worried his former student will take the criticism to heart as she has endured worse.
Scott said: 'She’s been through the ups and downs of this business. So you have to be pretty much a serious actress if you’re gonna go through all that. When taking feedback or critique, she processes it, uses her acting technique and makes the adjustment.'
Meanwhile on Wednesday, Baum admitted she regrets publicly slanging Sydney Sweeney after feeling the wrath from the actress' diehard fans.
Last week, Baum sparked outrage when she took aim at the 26-year-old actress while speaking to New York Times film critic Janet Maslin in front of a live audience.
