Katie Price admits she was 'so gutted' after romance with Teddy Sheringham ... trends now

Katie Price has admitted she was 'so gutted' when her brief romance with Teddy Sheringham come to an end when a former agent 'told the papers.'

Lamenting her lost love on the latest episode of her podcast on Thursday, the model, 45, recalled her fling with the football manager and former player, 58. 

Katie - who is now dating MAFS UK star JJ Slater, 31 - explained how her agent at the time had 'helped set them up.'

Speaking on The Katie Price Show, to her sister Sophie, she said: 'That agent helped me meet Teddy Sheringham but then she sold the story to The Sun. 

'The front page said "On my bed, Ted." She set it up and never told anyone about it.' 

The TV personality thought back to the moment she found out and told of how the agent informed her she had 'made the front page' 

'I went, "What do you mean? No! I haven't told anyone," but she had stitched me up,' Katie recalled. 

'To this day I think Teddy Sheringham thinks that I sold that story and I swear on my life I never. 

'I was so gutted because I did like him and I didn't do anything.'

Katie left her first boyfriend, an electrician, for a short-lived fling with former Millwall striker Teddy in the late 1990s. 

She claimed at the time that the reason they went their separate ways was because 'he went cold when the papers found out about us'.
