Metallica's James Hetfield gets tattoo made with a 'pinch' of rocker Lemmy ... trends now
James Hetfield found a unique way to honor late rocker Lemmy Kilmister.
On Wednesday, the Metallica legend, 60, revealed he got a permanent tribute to the English musician, who founded the British heavy metal band Motörhead, inked to his body.
'With the steady hand of friend and tattoo artist @coreymillertattoo, this tattoo,' Hetfield captioned an image of himself flipping off the camera as he showed off the piece of ink on his middle finger. 'A salute to my friend and inspiration Mr. Lemmy Kilmister. Without him, there would be NO Metallica.'
He continued: 'Black ink mixed with a pinch of his cremation ashes that were so graciously given to me. So now, he is still able to fly the bird at the world.'

The tat, made from a pinch of Kilmister's ashes, was a design of an Ace of Spades, seemingly a nod to his own band's hit track, Ace of Spades, released in 1980.
In the image, he held onto a box, which appeared to contain the rest of Kilmister's ashes.
His tattoo artist Corey Miller commented that he was 'honoured to do that tattoo.'
Following Kilmister's passing on December 28, 2015, Hetfield revealed he was 'distraught' by the loss.
