Tim Ross has opened up about the split with his former radio partner Merrick Watts dismissing any talk of a 'feud'.
The pair known as 'Merrick and Rosso' rose to fame as a comedic duo on Triple J, and later Nova, and Triple M.
But the team shocked listeners when they parted ways in 2009 after over a decade together.
Speaking on the Mumbrella podcast on Friday, Tim described Merrick as a 'brother' and said the former partners share a 'bond'.
'Merrick and I, the way I describe it, we're like brothers, you know? No one else understands what happened at that time,' he said.

He said that the pair share 'beautiful in-jokes that no one else gets' like a 'secret language.
'We always share stories about when people come up and tell us about something,' he continued, adding: 'What really unites us in our friendship is that shared history. We're really, really lucky to have that bond.'
