From Yellowstone to yard work! Kevin Costner gives VERY rare insight into his ... trends now

Kevin Costner gave a very rare insight into his home life at his $145million beach compound in California recently in a candid video showing off his new truck.

The Oscar-winning actor, 69, who recently revealed he would love to return to his role as John Dutton for the final season of Yellowstone, cut a dapper figure in a plaid shirt and jeans as he presented his 2023 F-250 Powerstroke diesel 4x4 custom design vehicle from Arizona's Lifted Trucks.

The star allowed unprecedented access into his compound for the stunning video, which showed him taking in the 10-acre estate's incredible ocean views, relaxing at sunset with son Cayden, 16, and spending time with his adorable new puppy.

He said: 'Lifted Trucks kinda came to my rescue a little bit because they understood what I was going for.

'And I didn't know exactly how to go about it as I'm not a gearhead, so to speak, so I said, tell me what's possible.

'And when they dropped it off at my front door in Santa Barbara, California... I don't really get excited, I've had so many cool things happen in my life...

'I was really excited when I saw it on my driveway.

The star said he wanted the vehicle to 'jump in the eye of anyone who sees it' and said: 'I just had such a good experience, this is what I needed.

'I don't know if mine looks cool but it feels cool. It works for me.'

The home is perched on a clifftop and boasts unrivaled ocean views. Costner originally designed a dream home with a pool and guest house but, due to family commitments and spending time at his Aspen home, he never got around to redeveloping the site.

The compound comes with 500 feet of private beach, surrounded by cliffs, and Costner has built an apparent recreational house on the property which is surrounded by outdoor furniture and umbrellas. 

Costner already had a home on the beach in Carpinteria but bought a 17-acre parcel of land complete with a modest two-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch in 2006 for $28.5million - after jogging past one day and seeing a for sale sign.

In 2007, he sold seven acres of the land to a neighbor, but combined his homes to create one seamless estate.

The original parcel of land came with a polo practice field which Costner converted to a baseball field, with a longtime pal of the star telling WSJ in 2017: 'We’ve had some great baseball games there.'

The home also boasts views of the Santa Barbara mountains, several islands and its own horseback riding trail. 

In 2017, the star put the stunning property on the market for a cool $60million.The home's listing was removed without being sold sometime later that year,

In 2022, the house next to Costner's was listed for $109 million.

Costner is said to have a net worth of around $250 million. The actor currently collects a reported $1.5 million per episode of his hit show Yellowstone.

In 2022, the actor became the best paid actor on TV when his salary hit $1.5 million per episode, reports Variety.

During the 1990s, Costner became one of the best paid stars in Hollywood when he received $14 million for his role in Waterworld.

In 1990, Costner was paid $3 million for his part in Dances With Wolves, a year later he earned over $40 million for his role in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, thanks to a deal that saw him take a share of the profits.

The property was thrust into the spotlight last year during Costner's much publicized divorce battle with Christine Baumgartner - with whom he shares three children.

Costner and Baumgartner both sought joint custody of their three children and Baumgartner is receiving $63,209 a month in child support from her ex. 

As of now, the settlement details remain unknown however TMZ reports the couple's prenup was validated by the judge. 

In July last year Baumgartner was ordered by a judge to move out of the $145 million compound shared with Costner by the end of the month.

This comes after Costner revealed he would 'love' the opportunity to return to his role as John Dutton for the final season of Yellowstone. 

While speaking about the highly-anticipated sixth season of his hit Western drama, which is set to return this November, the actor confirmed he is eager for the chance to get back on the Dutton Ranch. 

'I’d like to be able to do it, but we haven’t been able to,' he told Entertainment Tonight. 'I thought I was going to make seven [seasons] but right now we’re at five. So how it works out — I hope it does — but they’ve got a lot of different shows going on. Maybe it will. Maybe this will circle back to me.'

He continued: 'If it does and I feel really comfortable with [it], I’d love to do it.'

Costner went on to tease that he has his own ideas of how his character's story should end. 

The father-of-seven said: 'Well, you know, he needs to be proactive in what happens and I've kind of had my own fantasy how it might be.' 

Ultimately, Costner said it is up to creator Taylor Sheridan. 

'That's Taylor's thing. I said as much to him a while back. I had thoughts how it could happen, but we just have to see,' he concluded. 

Costner's contract reportedly has a 'moral death' clause, indicating that he has some say on how Dutton could be
