Kristian Alfonso is set to return to the set of Days of Our lives for a special episode after parting ways with the hit show in 1998 and returning briefly last year.
The 60-year-old actress - who previously denied the show's cancelation - will step back into the shoes of her character Hope Brady to pay tribute to her on-screen father played by the late Bill Hayes.
'My return is very bittersweet, because it is the end of an era with Bill gone,' the actress told TV Insider while on set Monday.
Having marked 41 years since her acting debut on the show, the brunette beauty revealed that it is not be an emotionally easy job.
'So to return to is very sad. I am appreciative that they came to me to include me in their series of shows honoring Doug and I’m very happy to see everyone,' she admitted. 'But I’m entering the studio with a heavy heart.'
