Charlotte Crosby has confirmed that an Australian spin-off of smash hit reality TV show Geordie Shore is in the works.

The TV personality, 33, sparked speculation of a new filming project after arriving Down Under with her fiance Jake Ankers and their daughter Alba-Jean, 18 months.

Now, she has addressed the rumours as she confirmed she is in Cairns filming for Aussie Shore with a new 'wild' cast, months after she quit the UK version of the show.

The reality show, which kicked off in 2011, follows the lives of partying stars in Newcastle and has launched the careers of the likes of Charlotte and Vicky Pattison.

An Aussie version of the MTV program has long been rumoured, and Charlotte finally confirmed filming is underway as she gave an insight into the new spin-off.

Speaking on Sydney's Kyle and Jackie O radio show, she shared: 'Well listen, I'll tell you because I know it won't go any further, but this is hectic.

'The last week of my life, I've never experienced craziness like it. We're filming Aussie Shore.'

Hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson were sent into a frenzy over the news as they were quick to grill the Geordie Shore legend for further details.

She confirmed that a whole new Aussie cast, who are in their 20s, will be starring on the new reality show, set to air on Paramount+, and described them all as 'wild'.

Charlotte teased: 'The new generation are wild, they have grown up on reality TV. They are pushing boundaries you didn't even know these boundaries existed - I'm scared for Australia!'

Charlotte, who quit Geordie Shore last year after a row with Marnie Simpson, told how she is coming in as the 'boss' of Aussie Shore as she returns to the franchise.

The star promised all sorts of wild antics on the spin-off show as she told how the cast have been filming hot tub scenes in what they refer to as the 'sex bath'.

She teased of the cast dynamics: 'Not one of them knew each other [before filming], and now they know each other very well.'

'They're young! We were in our 20s, they're all 10 or 11 years younger than me, that's why I'm the boss,' she added.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Paramount+ for comment.
