Tiffany Haddish says she never had a chance to grieve her grandmother's death ... trends now
Tiffany Haddish, 44, never had a chance to grieve her grandmother properly while she was working on a film, she said on Friday.
'When my grandma died, I had no time to grieve,' the actress told People in an exclusive interview.
Her grandmother passed away in January 2022 and in Tiffany's new book, I Curse You With Joy, the actress wrote about her relationship with grandma, including what her process of grieving the loss has been like.
When her grandmother died, the actress was filming The Haunted Mansion in Georgia and she was also living through the fallout of the end of her relationship with rapper Common.
And then, she experienced a chain of losses in what proved to be a challenging chapter of her life.

'My dog died, then 10 days later my grandma died, then four days later I get arrested for a DUI,' she said. 'My world fell apart.'
The loss of her grandmother, in particular, took a toll. The Card Counter actress described her grandmother as ‘my first best friend.’
‘It still f***s me up, like someone took a chunk of my heart out. That was my love. I don't, don't know how long it takes to heal and I don't know if the way I grieve is healthy,’ she said.
The actress has taken to ‘creative ways’ to process the loss of her grandmother.
