Jimmie Allen reveals he welcomed twins with 'friend' Danielle Rice BEFORE ... trends now

Jimmie Allen clarified the timeline of events that led up to him welcoming twins with 'friend' Danielle Rice and revealed he and wife Alexis Gale 'weren't together' at the time.

The country singer, 38 - who announced he secretly welcomed twins last month in March without naming the mother at the time - opened up about the topic "during a YouTube interview with Kathie Lee Gifford on Tuesday.

Last month, it was also reported that the performer had fathered the twins with Rice when she was still legally wed to her husband of five years - causing Danielle's former partner a 'great deal of pain.' 

However, Allen explained that he was not with estranged wife, Alexis, at the time and Danielle had also been separated from her husband. 

'I have six kids now. I have two twins [who] were born, Aria and Amari, June 2023. [They have a] different mother, my friend Danielle. I've known Danielle for years,' Jimmie said, shutting down claims that Rice was a 'superfan.' 

'Way before I became [singer] Jimmie Allen,' he continued. 'And at the time that she got pregnant with the twins, I wasn't with Lexi, and [Danielle] wasn't with her husband.' 

'But it's interesting just watching how life happens whether you plan it or whether you're ready for it or not.' 

The star added, 'So Danielle was pregnant first, because me and Lexi weren't together when Danielle got pregnant. Twins were born first. Then me and Lexi decided we wanted to try to work on [our relationship].' 

Last month in March, Allen took to his Instagram to announce that he had welcomed twins, Aria and Amari. 

In a message uploaded to his stories, the Best Shot singer penned, 'I have 6 kids. I love each one of them. I refuse to let anyone make me feel ashamed of any of my children. The only opinion I care about is theirs.' 

Along with welcoming the twins, Jimmie reconciled with Alexis soon after and the pair welcomed son, Cohen, in September 2023 - three months after Aria and Amari were born. 

Allen and Gale tied the knot in June 2020, but filed for divorce in April of last year - the same month they announced they were expecting their third child together before briefly reconciling. 

The pair also share Naomi, four, and Zara, two. Jimmie is also father to Aadyn, nine, from a previous relationship. 

While talking to Kathie in the latest interview, the country star stated, 'I decided to post my twins on Instagram, and it went everywhere.' 

'These articles come out, "Jimmie Allen Gets Married Superfan Pregnant." That couldn't be farther from the truth. She's not a superfan. She's a friend,' he said of Danielle. 'And she wasn't with her husband and I wasn't with my wife.' 

In October 2023, a source told People that both Allen and Gale were 'still together' and said that the separation 'was never fully seen through legally.' 

However, shortly after it was revealed that Jimmie had secretly welcomed twins with Danielle, Alexis shared a video that seemingly hinted that the pair were done for good. 

In the clip, Gale didn't mention Jimmie's name but expressed, 'Those lies, they'll always catch up to you.'

'What is done in the dark will come out in the light. Every single time. So keep playing,' she added. 'I am truly at the point in my life where I am just letting God work, and not saying s**t anymore. There's no reason to say s**t.'
