Comedian Jim Jefferies has responded to a broadside from Melbourne radio star Marty Sheargold.
The controversial Triple M presenter mocked the host of Seven's The 1% Club after he failed to show for an interview on Monday.
'If I knew who Marty Sheargold was, I'd be really upset by this whole incident,' Jefferies joked after being asked about the controversy.
The 47-year-old Australian funnyman, who is based in the U.S., made the comment during an interview on Canberra's Mix 106.3 on Monday.
Earlier that morning Jefferies was supposed to appear on Triple M to promote a giveaway for the Australian leg of his latest stand-up show.
