Cher reveals rock and roll icon she turned down a date with because she was ... trends now

Cher revealed the rock and roll icon she turned down on a date because she was 'nervous of his reputation.'

The 77-year-old singing superstar - who hilariously  joked about preferring younger boyfriends because men her age 'are all dead' - appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show on Wednesday.

On the chat show she talked about a potential romance with one of the biggest music stars of all-time decades ago.

Cher has previously shared that the King of Rock And Roll Elvis Presley previously attempted to court her.

The A-lister explained why she turned down the proposition as she said: 'It was because I was nervous and I knew of the people around him and it wasn’t that they were bad people, it's just that I was kind of nervous of his reputation and I mean.

'I’m really shy when I’m not working and kind of shy around men.'

Cher is currently in a relationship with record executive Alexander 'AE' Edwards, 38, and revealed why she prefers to go after younger men.

She would rather date men from later generations, who 'were raised by women like me' and were therefore never scared of her.

'And the reason I got with young men is because men my age or older - well, now they're all dead,' she joked on chat program"  'But before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me.'

Cher has a longtime reputation for dating toyboys, such as Rob Camilletti, whom she took up with in 1986 when she was 40 and he 22. 

Rob, who became known as the 'Bagel Boy' because he worked in a bagel shop, was Cher's Oscar date when she won best actress for Moonstruck in 1988. 

The Believe hitmaker and her boyfriend Alexander have been thriving since they reconciled in September of last year.

They did so after reportedly splitting back in May 2023.
