The Block's Shaynna Blaze has revealed the surprising reason she has launched her music career.
The celebrity interior designer, 61, explained in an Instagram video that she doesn't see music as a reinvention, but a long-overdue return after her music career was paused when she became a mum.
'There's lots of reasons why music was on the backburner for me. Initially it was my family. I just wasn't making enough money to support them,' she said.
'It was about getting other avenues of income...you just don't make a lot of money.'
'On top of that, my kids were getting older and I used to sing when they were young. I'd put them to bed, go to sing and then come back, and my parents would look after them. But it got to the stage where my daughter was 14 or 15, she was going out to parties. And I was like "I think I need to be around".'
