Russell Crowe has said having children took 'quite a big chunk of my life' and so aspects of his career had to be put on the back-burner.
Although primarily known for his acting career, Russell, 60, has long been a musician and is going on a new European tour with his band Indoor Garden Party.
Appearing on Heart Evenings with Dev Griffin on Wednesday, Russell told how he sometimes struggle to juggle fatherhood with his career.
The actor is father to Charles, 20, and Tennyson, 17, with his ex-wife Danielle Spencer who he split from in 2018.
During the interview, host Dev asked: 'Doing my research, I saw a picture of you doing an open mic in like 2005. And just to put this in context for people, that's the same year you did Cinderella.

'Have you meant to create these two parallel lives with the music and the acting? Is it quite hard to manage?'
Russell replied: 'It can be. It's quite a big chunk of my life once I had kids. The touring took you know, a lesser place in the priority list, mainly because if I go away to make a movie, and then the moment I finished the movie, I'm now on tour, when do I get to be dad?
'And I really want to be dad. And now the amazing thing is, is my eldest son actually gets to travel with me, you know, he's a singer, he's a great songwriter. So that's another level of excitement to it.'
