Whoopi Goldberg tears up in 'rare' moment during emotional interview with teen, ... trends now
The View fans have been left 'teary-eyed' as they witnessed a 'rare' display of emotion from host Whoopi Goldberg as she interviewed a teenage girl battling a rare brain tumor disorder.
As part of Brain Tumor Awareness Month, Whoopi, 68, and her cohost, Sara Haines, invited Mya Jackson, 15, onto Thursday's show, with her mom, Tanya, and surprised the brave teen with a meet and greet with her favorite singer, Sofia Carson.
In very emotional scenes, Mya - who was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) at the age of six - was seen hugging Sofia, 31, as Whoopi helped mother-of-three Sara wipe away tears using a tissue - but even the Sister Act star failed to hold it together and struggled to get her words out towards the end of the segment.
As she tried to plug the Make A Wish foundation, who had made Mya's dream come true, Whoopi had to pause and compose herself as she fought back tears with her voice breaking - and fans were shocked to see her this way.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: 'WOW you very rarely see Whoopi get emotional,' and another posted: 'Please #Whoopi hold it together... I feel you sista.. I'm a mess too....'
A third person admitted: 'Get'n a lil' teary-eyed at Mya's story,' and a fourth viewer added: 'I can't with this segment.. I can't right now.. I'm a 51 year old man.. and I'm in major total meltdown over this story....'
