Married At First Sight groom Tim Calwell has broken his silence over the infamous cheating scandal his bride Sara Mesa was involved in.
The online business owner, 31, was left heartbroken after his wife Sara, 29, told him she had to go 'puppy sitting' - but was later revealed to be visiting an ex-boyfriend.
Calwell said in hindsight there were lots of clues that things were not right in their relationship, which he overlooked because he trusted Sara to be faithful.
'She requested three days of time off from MAFS. I'm not too sure what she and her ex got up to or if they did anything physical,' he told the "Sit With Us podcast.
Tim added he later found out the puppy-sitting story was a lie, which made it difficult to believe anything Sara subsequently told him.
