Salvatore Coco shot to fame in the late 90s when he starred in Heartbreak High as the popular and charismatic Costa 'Con' Bordino from 1994-1997.

But the 49-year-old actor has recently dropped off the map following a downturn in on-screen jobs, despite previously landing roles in Underbelly and Home and Away.

According to his IMDB, the singer had regular annual work from his heyday until 2019, when the scripts began to slow and he was seen asking for jobs on live TV.

That year, he starred in the failed reboot of the late 90s Australian hit TV program SeaChange, which attempted a lacklustre revival almost two decades after its finale.

Salvatore landed a role in the Underbelly two-part spin-off Informer 3838 in 2020, and appeared in another miniseries the following year titled Australian Gangster.

His final TV gig was in 2022 when he returned to Home and Away for the third time to reprise his role as Dimitri Poulos.

Now considered a part-time actor, Salvatore appears to be making his living as a professional Master of Ceremonies, mostly working at weddings.

During a rare TV interview back in 2019, Salvatore took advantage of the exposure by interrupting the hosts and asking for emcee work.

He was speaking with presenters Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur on The Morning Show about how his life has changed since his days as a teenage heartthrob in the 90s.

Seeing an opportunity to promote his business, Salvatore then started advertising his services to viewers at home.

He asked the hosts, 'Can I have a bit of a plug?' before announcing where potential clients can find him online.

In that same interview, Salvatore also expressed interest joining a Heartbreak High reboot but didn't know who could possibly 'make it happen'.

'If there's anyone out there that is willing to do it and fund
