Madonna, 65, recreates THAT iconic Britney Spears kiss as she shares a steamy ... trends now

The Queens of pop made headlines over 20 years ago when she kissed Britney Spears on stage at the VMAs leaving audiences worldwide astounded.

Now Madonna, 64, has recreated that steamy embrace with a backing dancer during her final Celebration Tour show in Brazil on Saturday night. 

The Material Girl hitmaker took to the stage performing a very racy routine with one of her dancers, who donned a backless top and black trousers. 

Madonna, who kicked off her seven-month tour last year, looked incredible during the concert as she wore a number of outfits including a red satin minidress and black thigh high boots. 

During 2003's MTV VMAs, Madonna had a prolonged kiss with Britney during their opening performance for the ceremony.

Britney opened the show by singing Madonna's Like a Virgin, emerging out of a wedding cake while dressed as a bride, as Madonna did in her 1984 VMAs performance.

Soon after that, Christina Aguilera joined Britney onstage for the song before Madonna appeared and launched into her single Hollywood. During the performance, Madonna leaned over and kissed Britney.

In 2018 Christina - who was on stage for the kiss - recalled feeling left out of the moment saying her kiss with Madonna just moments later was not shown.

During the broadcast only the image of Britney and Madonna was aired, followed by a reaction shot of Britney's former flame Justin Timberlake.

'It was weird. And you know why they cut away for it? Because they cut away to get Justin [Timberlake's] reaction,' she said in a radio interview.

Christina went on to elaborate that the manufactured drama was a 'cheap shot' as Britney and Justin were no longer an item.

Andy then clarified 'I don't think people actually totally realize that she [Madonna] made out with both of you that day.'

She confirmed the sentiment, recalling 'Yeah, because I definitely saw the newspaper the next day and it was like, 'Oh, well, I guess I got left out of that'.'

It comes as Madonna sent fans crazy as she took to the stage for her final tour stop at Copacabana Beach in Brazil.

The Vogue songstress battled through the final performance as she donned a wrist and a knee support. 

The show was notably 'free of charge as a thank you to her fans for celebrating more than four decades of her music over the course of the epic global run of the tour.' 

Taking to Instagram to share a short clip from her final tour date, Madonna wrote: 'Blame it on Rio. Thank You Brazil!'

Fans quickly took to the comments to congratulate the Queen Of Pop as her 'amazing' tour came to an end.

They wrote: 'Can't believe the Celebration tour is over; Thank you, Queen! You are amazing!!; I'm so proud to be your fan! Thanks for this amazing tour, we already can't way to see your next projects! Once again you proved who is the QUEEN.'

The singer previously revealed she had to undergo regenerative treatment after suffering extreme pain due to knee surgery.

Madonna decided to finally undergo knee surgery in April 2020 followed by hip surgery in November 2020 as well as 'regenerative treatment for my missing cartilage.' 

It has been a tough time for Madonna after a shocking health scare in June 2023.  

Madonna previously had to scale back the seven-month tour after she was hospitalized and intubated over a bacterial infection last June.

The Madame X artist later revealed that she was in an induced coma for 48 hours after suffering lung and kidney failure.
