Just one day after an interview with Andy Cohen went viral after denying speculation that he was sleeping with John Mayer, the singer himself has responded.
Cohen, 55, who has been openly gay for years, has been longtime friends with the 46-year-old straight singer.
During a wide-ranging cover story on Cohen, he was asked about his friendship with Cohen, and the 'intense speculation' that their friendship was more than platonic.
Cohen joked, 'Let them speculate!' before insisting that they are, 'most definitely not' sleeping with each other in the interview, published by THR on Wednesday.
Mayer responded to THR on Thursday, blasting the publication for posing that question to Cohen in the first place.
