Britain's Got Talent: Amanda Holden awards her Golden Buzzer to Japanese ... trends now

Amanda Holden awarded her Golden Buzzer to one of her more unlikely choices during Sunday's episode of Britain's Got Talent.

The presenter, 53, was left 'howling' with laughter by Japanese comedian Nabe after he showed off his surprising impressions.

Using his long hair, Nabe poked fun at an array of different characters, from Teletubbies to Shaun the Sheep, leaving the judging panel in hysterics.

He ended with an amusing impression of music mogul Simon, using his long hair to recreate his famous chest fuzz, leaving the audience in uproar.

But the audience, and hosts Ant and Dec, gasped with shock when Amanda dramatically pressed her Golden Buzzer.

Simon added: 'One of the funniest epople we're ever had and the only person I know who does impersonations with their hair. I mean this is genius, absolutely genius.'

Bruno Tonioli praised: 'I really had no idea what was coming next and everytirme you surprised me you were very very funny.'

The buzzer meant Nabe would automatically earned a spot in the live semi-finals, which will hit screens later this month.

But viewers were far less convinced by Amanda's decision to award Nabe such a coveted honour, with one claiming she'd 'wasted' her Buzzer.

Tweets included: 'Joking Amanda that was not a Golden Buzzer the acrobat was a million % better;'
