Josh Lawson was roundly criticised by fans and media alike for his portrayal of Aussie icon Paul Hogan in a recent TV biopic.
But Hoges co-star Sean Keenan has leapt to the defence of his fellow actor - and the unconvincing wig which he sported throughout the Channel Seven telemovie.
The 24-year-old spoke to TV Tonight on Tuesday, telling the publication that the negative feedback - directed almost solely at Josh - was unfair.

He said: 'It's pretty harsh to target one actor and his hairpiece. There are masses of people putting this stuff together, so you can't just focus on two minor things.'
The much anticipated two-part miniseries aired last month, covering Paul's journey from working as a rigger on the Sydney Harbour Bridge to international film star.
Sean starred as the younger version of the comedian and was widely praised for his portrayal, having seemingly nailed Paul's mannerisms.
