Peter Andre's wife Emily DEFENDS Harper's lavish tea party

Peter Andre's wife Emily has defended Harper Beckham's tea party at Buckingham Palace and insisted that most kids would not be 'bothered' by the lavish venue.

The mother-of-two lashed out at those who blasted Harper's sixth birthday bash, in which the youngster met Princess Eugenie and dressed up as a Frozen character.

She said that people 'love to criticise the Beckhams' and told to 'be happy for a little girl who clearly had a good time.'

Emily, who is mum to six-month-old Theo and daughter Amelia, three, waded into the controversial topic in her OK! Magazine column

'People have said they shouldn't have shown it off on social media as it will make other kids jealous, but I think that's just life,' she wrote.

'Kids are always going to see other children doing something that they want to do.'

However, she added that the luxury setting seemed a tad too much, continuing: 'I think most kids are happy with a few friends to play with and a bit of hide and seek and probably aren't bothered about Buckingham Palace!'

Although Emily was understanding of the luxurious bash, the Beckhams reportedly left friend Stella McCartney 'furious'.

The designer, who prefers to keep her family life private, was allegedly annoyed that Victoria and David posted a photo online of her daughter Reiley, six, at the party.

Stella was said to be 'furious' with Victoria and David for sharing a picture of her daughter Reiley Willis posing alongside Harper and her schoolfriends at the tea party, hosted by Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, the Duchess of York.

The designer, who likes to keep her six-year-old daughter out of the spotlight is 'spitting feathers' after the snapshot went viral, according to The Sun.
