Martine McCutcheon and husband argued over her new music

She recently relaunched her music career after fourteen years with her comeback track Say I'm Not Alone.

But Martine McCutcheon, 41, has revealed that it hasn't all been smooth sailing when writing her new tracks alongside singer/songwriter husband Jack McManus in a candid interview with Radio Times.

The British actress revealed: 'When you are writing about things that are really personal, it can be quite intense and there have been slammed doors because it hasn’t gone the way I wanted, or he’s been frustrated with me because he thinks it should go in a certain direction.

Her debut track, Perfect Moment, went straight to number one in 1999, putting more well-known artists like Eminem in the shade.

And she is hoping for the same magnitude of success years down the line as she revealed that despite her 'intense' professional relationship with Jack, they were lucky to work from the comfort of their own home.
