Bucks Fizz to release their first album in 31-years

They shot to fame after winning the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest with hit single Making Your Mind Up.

But almost 30-years after releasing their last album eighties pop group Bucks Fizz – renamed as ‘The Fizz’ following a legal dispute – are poised to return with new music.

The group, comprised of original members Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan, Jay Aston and newcomer Bobby McVay, will release new album The F-Z of Pop later this year.

Lead single Dancing in the Rain – their first original track since 1988 – is available to stream online following its Radio 2 debut on Tuesday morning.

With production credits attributed to Mike Stock, fans can expect a polished sound when the album is finally released.

Best known for his work as one third of eighties songwriting machine Stock, Aitken and Waterman, the producer has previously worked with the likes of Rick Astley, Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Bananarama and Mel and Kim.
