France coach Didier Deschamps has said France must be wary of the threat posed by Robert Lewandowski - but that the group stage offered a perfect blueprint to keeping him out of the game.
Lewandowski, 34, scored his first - and so far only - goal at a World Cup finals against Saudi Arabia, drawing tears, in the group phase but regularly found himself marked out of the game with his side's tactic of lumping the ball long for him often not garnering results.
Speaking ahead of France's last-16 clash with Poland on Sunday, Deschamps was asked about the forward and was, naturally, extremely complimentary - but appeared to outline how he plans to keep him out of the game.
