Trent Alexander-Arnold has had a pop at rivals Manchester City ahead of their trip to Liverpool on Sunday, claiming that the Reds' successes 'mean more to us' than their opponents.
Manchester City are inarguably the most successful team in recent years in England, winning five of the last six Premier League titles, and last year won a first ever Champions League crown.
The two sides have shared something of a competitive rivalry as a result, with Jurgen Klopp's Reds the only team in the country to pip Pep Guardiola's side to the English top-flight title in that period.
This term, the two are part of a three-horse race for the top, with Arsenal also in the running for the Premier League, and Liverpool welcome City to Anfield in what is already being billed as a potential title decider.
Ahead of that titanic tussle, Alexander-Arnold has aimed a dig at the Citizens, and suggested that the difference in the two organisations means Liverpool's success means a lot more to the Reds than triumphs do to City supporters.
