West Ham were denied a late penalty in controversial fashion as they were defeated in their Europa League clash with Freiburg.
The Hammers were frustrated against their Bundesliga opposition on Thursday, with Jarrod Bowen unable to convert multiple chances to give them the advantage.
To make matters worse for the visitors substitute Michael Gregoritsch gave Freiburg the lead with just ten minutes remaining in the Round of 16 first leg.
David Moyes' side chased an equaliser in the closing stages and looked to have secured a breakthrough in stoppage time when the ball appeared to hit Noah Weisshaupt's hand in the Freiburg penalty box.
