Liverpool have been handed a fitness boost ahead of the Premier League title run-in with Andy Robertson avoiding any serious injury after the Scotsman hobbled off during the international break with ankle pains.

Robertson, 30, returned to Merseyside on Wednesday for scans and it appears the left back has avoided any serious, long-standing injury. He is still a doubt for the coming games, noting Liverpool play three in eight days from Sunday, but it is not expected to be a lengthy blow.
