Erik ten Hag says he expects Luke Shaw to return from injury before the end of the season as the England defender aims to prove his fitness in time for the European Championships this summer.
Shaw has missed the last five games for Manchester United since limping off at Luton last month with a recurrence of a hamstring strain. England boss Gareth Southgate has said the 28-year-old will be right on the edge in terms of availability for the Euros, but Ten Hag is confident that Shaw will be back in good time.
‘Yes, I expect him back before the end of the season,’ said the United manager. ‘He is still on schedule and will return to our team.’
