The NFLPA's most recent annual team report card has the Chiefs ranked 31st, ahead of only the Commanders. Additionally, Hunt was voted the worst owner in the NFL, with the team's outdated facilities and quality of care highlighted in the survey. The 47 players on Kansas City's roster who took the survey indicated how they believed their locker room would be renovated after the 2022 season and were left high and dry when it did not happen. However, Hunt told The Athletic no such promise was made. 'I have spoken to some of our veteran players about that, and they've confirmed to me that it was a miscommunication,' Hunt said. 'Certainly, I personally never said anything to them about a renovation of the locker room. It was a misunderstanding.' 'We are making some pretty significant investments in the training facility this year, and we'll continue to do that,' Hunt continued. 'We've outgrown that building in a number of ways.'
