Jurgen Klopp has pinpointed the meeting that led Liverpool's season to catch fire as they prepare to put their title credentials on the line once again.

Many expect Liverpool to enhance their goal difference against Sheffield United on Thursday night but Klopp is offended by suggestions this will be effectively be a game of attack versus defence and exercise in how many his team can score.

There is no doubt, though, that Chris Wilder's side will be in for a long evening if this 90 minutes goes how some of Liverpool's recent games have gone: they had 30 shots against Brighton last Sunday, the seventh time they have had 25+ efforts on goal at Anfield since Christmas.
