Sean Dyche admitted he designed Everton's win over Burnley to be 'ugly' to ensure his side secured three points.
The Toffees entered their clash just one point above the relegation zone and without a Premier League win since the last time they faced Vincent Kompany's side back in December.
A cagey opening 45 minutes looked set to end goalless at Goodison Park, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin capitalised on a critical error from Clarets goalkeeper Arijanet Muric to give the hosts the lead.
