Scottie Scheffler's caddie Ted Scott enjoyed another major windfall on Sunday when the American slipped on his second Green Jacket after winning The Masters.

In doing so, Scheffler scooped the record $3.5million (£2.8m) prize fund and took his remarkable season to another level.

The World No. 1 finished on 11-under par for the tournament at Augusta National after a superb four-under par round on Sunday.

Scott has been carrying Scheffler's bag since 2022 and has been front and center of the American's explosive rise to becoming the dominant force in golf.

According to Forbes, Scheffler has already raked in just over $15m (£12m) in prize money through nine tournaments this season.

The 50-year-old is expected to have received a 10 per cent cut of the record £2.8million prize

The 27-year-old has won both the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship as well, two big tournaments to go alongside his Masters triumph.

Scott is also expected to have secured incredible earnings as a consequence, with the custom for players to pay their caddies 10 per cent of any prize money.

Should Scheffler follow the custom, Scott would have earned a cool $1.5m (£1.2m) this year.
