Manchester United fan channel owner Mark Goldbridge has blasted claims he is a 'fake fan' of the club, accusing a journalist of being 'rattled' after Alejandro Garnacho interacted with him on social media.

Garnacho was reprimanded by Man United after liking posts on social media by Goldbridge, the owner of The United Stand fan channel, in the aftermath of their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.

The Argentine liked a post claiming he was 'thrown under the bus' by Ten Hag when he was substituted at half-time of Saturday's 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.

Speaking on the "Manchester is Red podcast, Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst questioned why Garnacho would like posts by Goldbridge.

He insisted the club were right to back Ten Hag for reprimanding Garnacho after disciplining Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sancho for previous incidents.

‘You think what the hell is the world coming to when you have got one of the greatest players in the game saying that about the Man United manager.

‘You’ve got some underwhelming kid who has an air of entitlement accusing the Man United manager of lying and now effectively the player of the season feeling emboldened to like tweets by a YouTuber who does not even support Man United.

‘And whose interpretation of what Ten Hag said at his press conference was exaggerated to say the least.’

Goldbridge, whose YouTube channel The United Stand has 1.84 million subscribers and 2.3m followers on X, has hit back at the suggestion he is a fake fan of the club.
