AFL Hall of Fame legend Nathan Buckley will be forced to buy back prized possessions including premiership medals and jumpers with his career to go under the hammer at auction as part of his divorce.
After separating from his wife Tania in 2020, all of Buckley's memorabilia was appraised and will now be sold to the highest bidder.
That leaves Buckley forced into the tough decision on which memorabila to buy back and which to let go.
He has already successfully repurchased his 2003 Brownlow Medal, 2002 Norm Smith Medals, and his six Copelands trophies for an undisclosed amount.
However, over 200 items from Buckley's football career over the last three decades are to be auctioned at Charles Leski Auctions on May 1.
Which means the Collingwood champion is reluctantly parting with items he once hoped would return to the clubs and institutions he played for.
Buckley amassed a huge amount of footy memorabila during his time as Collingwood player, captain and coach but will now have to say goodbye to a large chunk of it
