This year's Champions League semi-finalists have been decided following four thrilling quarter-final ties.

It was a bad week for English clubs as Man City and Arsenal were knocked out by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, respectively.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund edged past Atletico Madrid, and PSG came from behind to see off Barcelona.

There were outstanding individual performances across the round, but some players also struggled on the big stage.

Stats boffins SofaScore have produced a worst XI of the quarter-finals, and here, Mail Sport takes a look at it.

Worst XI

Goalkeeper

Gianluigi Donnarumma – 6.50

The PSG goalkeeper had a shaky first leg at the Parc de Princes and was particularly rash when coming off his line.

Donnarumma looked more secure when it mattered in the second leg, though, earning a rating of 6.8, improving on his 6.2 from the first leg.

Defenders

Ben White – 6.80

White had two average games against Bayern. Despite making Sofascore’s worst XI of the round – an average score of 6.80 makes him the highest-rated player in the team.

In what was a tie won by fine margins, White did miss a huge opportunity early on in the first leg to put his side 2-0 up, firing an effort straight at Manuel Neuer after going through one-on-one.

Ronald Araujo – 6.20

The centre-back was dismissed in Barcelona’s return leg against PSG after clumsily bringing down Bradley Barcola when the winger was through on goal.

Xavi’s side never really recovered after going down to 10 men as Kylian Mbappe and co ran riot in Catalonia.

Pau Cubarsi – 6.30

The impressive Barcelona talent has been a regular at the heart of Barcelona’s defence since his debut in January and, at just 17, is sure to have a bright future ahead of him.
