European Championship squads for the 2024 tournament will be increased to 26 players, according to reports.
The Euros take place in Germany this summer, with 24 teams from across the continent battling it out for the right to claim the title of Europe's best team, with Italy the current holders.
Last competition saw nations name squads of 26 for the first time in history, with previous editions seeing teams limited to 23, to better provision against the ongoing COVID pandemic.
It had been anticipated that limits would revert to normal for the upcoming competition, however a vote on Monday at a meeting of the UEFA national competitions committee has given the green-light for 26-player squads, as per Sky.
The vote does not necessarily translate to a change set in stone - UEFA's executive committee must first sanction a formal alteration to the rule - although it does indicate that 26-player squads might become a regular fixture moving forward.
