Conservative commentator Jason Whitlock has bizarrely criticized Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton for revealing his brother was called the N-word during an NBA playoff game.

Haliburton said after his team's Game 2 win over the Bucks that his brother was the target of the slur whilst sitting in the stands 'the other day' (presumably Game 1, which was also played in Milwaukee), while noting that the incident 'didn't sit right with anybody in our family.'

But Whitlock, who is no stranger to making controversial comments, believes Haliburton should have kept the incident private.

'This was so life-changing and impactful that Tyrese Haliburton felt like he had to share it with the media,' Whitlock said sarcastically on his 'Fearless' podcast.

'I've shared stories of a handful of times, [being] called the N-word,' he continued. 'We knuckled up and either fought, or we just shook it off and kept moving. Informing the press... that blows my mind. That somehow this is a national story.
