The newest New Orleans Saint, quarterback Spencer Rattler, was only available for the team's selection in the fifth round of the NFL Draft because team general managers reportedly hated him on the Netflix reality show 'QB1: Beyond the Lights'.
The former Oklahoma and South Carolina star was picked No 150 overall, ending the longest streak in NFL Draft history without a quarterback being chosen, as 137 players were selected in between Rattler and now-Bronco Bo Nix.
Before his college days, Rattler was one of the top players in the nation as part of the 2019 recruiting class, and was the top-rated pro-style quarterback, per 247Sports.
That led to plenty of attention coming his way, including from Netflix. At Pinnacle (Arizona) High School, Rattler had a reputation as the best player in his state.
And after Rattler found a home with the Saints, clips resurfaced of him reaming out his wide receivers during a high-school practice.
