Drew McIntyre has signed a new deal with the WWE as revealed by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
The 38-year-old Scottish fighter previously announced his intentions to leave the WWE, with his original contract at the organisation set to expire in May.
McIntyre starred at the recent WrestleMania event by beating Seth Rollins and becoming the new WWE world heavyweight champion and has now signed a fresh commitment to extend his stay.
The Rock was the first to announce his co-competitor would be staying part of WWE's superstar roster in a bizarre exchange that saw McIntyre presented with an iconic Scottish sword.
McIntyre was interrupted while in discussions with WWE president Nick Khan as the Rock shared a video on his
