Phil Mickelson has dropped arguably his biggest hint that retirement is close, with the 53-year-old already planning for life after LIV Golf.
Mickelson turned professional back in 1992. He has won 45 PGA Tour titles and six majors over the past three decades.
In 2022, the 53-year-old became one of the first rebels to quit the PGA Tour. He reportedly signed a three-year contract with the Saudi-backed LIV series.
Now, though, Mickelson has claimed his focus will soon be on helping other players experience the 'peace' and 'fulfilment' he finds on the course.
'I'm 53 now and my career - if I'm being truthful - it's toward its end and now I would like to help others find the same enjoyment, fulfilment that the game of golf has provided me,' said Mickelson, who has previously hinted that he would retire if he won the US Open and completed a career Grand Slam.
