Olivia Dunne's boyfriend, Paul Skenes, reportedly burns through 5,000 calories a game with his array of 100 mile-per-hour fastballs and fuels his pitching technique with honey. Lots of honey.
Ahead of highly anticipated Skenes' Major League Baseball debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday, it was revealed that the sport's top pitching prospect can go through half a jar of honey per start.
'Paul would go through half a bear a game,' an LSU staffer told ESPN, in reference to the typical plastic bear-shaped jars of bottled honey.
How big the jar in question was for Skenes' dominant days as a Tiger is unclear, but the plastic honey jars could have up to one pound of the sweet substance.
