The lawyer representing Scottie Scheffler says his client is ready to go to trial after a Friday morning arrest outside the Valhalla Golf Club, the host of the PGA Championship.
In a situation the reigning Masters champion described as 'chaotic', Scheffler was arrested by an officer who claimed he refused to follow signals from police directing traffic.
Steve Romines, the lawyer representing Scheffler, says his client will plead not guilty at a court date set for 9:00am on Tuesday.
'We are going to plead not guilty and get the next court date. Could the charges be dropped? Anything is possible,' said Romines.
"They will either be dropped or we will go to trial because he didn’t do anything wrong. We’re not interested in any settlement negotiations or anything like that.
