The West Ham boss opted for a mixture of experience and youthful exuberance, offering all his fit squad members a half of football.

Sturm Graz play in the third tier of the Austrian leagues so Bilic will be slightly disappointed in the result given a number of star players on show.

New man Pablo Zabaleta started the game with Robert Snodgrass and Andre Ayew were other high-profile protagonists in action.
