Darts king Phil Taylor has no plans to reverse his decision to retire despite winning a sweet 16th World Matchplay title on Sunday.

The 56-year-old, who beat Peter Wright 18-8 in the final in Blackpool, will bring the curtain down on his career at the World Championship in the Alexandra Palace in December.

While Sky Sports will be interested in signing Taylor as a TV pundit, it is unlikely that he will take up the offer.
