sport news I'll be Happy Like a Fool if Mike Smith claims victory

Rain is forecast to arrive during Goodwood on Wednesday afternoon — but hopefully it will not start in time to inconvenience two of my bigger fancies.

HAPPY LIKE A FOOL is trained by US-based Wesley Ward, but she has remained in Newmarket since her second place to Heartache in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot.

That was a pretty good run and showed Happy Like A Fool has plenty of pace — but this course should play more to her strengths. She could be tough to peg back in the Molecomb Stakes under top American jockey Mike Smith.
