Warrington coach Tony Smith praised young half-back Declan Patton following his 20-point haul in the 52-24 victory over Catalans Dragons in the Super 8s Qualifiers at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Patton, 22, claimed a try and landed eight goals from nine attempts as well as creating tries for Ryan Atkins and Stefan Ratchford with some pinpoint kicking.
Smith said: 'Declan had his best game by a long shot this year. He did really well and was class, particularly in the first half.

'He executed really well and is still a young developing player and still has plenty to learn that's for sure. But that was by far his best performance and he can build on that.
'I think he got some confidence from the try he scored last week against Widnes when he ran the ball close to the line and I'm pleased for him.'
The Wolves boss was also full of praise for 36-year-old veteran forward Ben Westwood who was making his 400th appearance for the club.
