Birmingham were hopeful of taking Chelsea starlet Jake Clarke-Salter on loan  The Blues had lined up the deal but things changed after Carl Jenkinson's injury  On loan from Arsenal, Jenkinson dislocated his shoulder on his debut The injury meant manager Harry Redknapp was forced to line up a right-back

Jake Clarke-Salter's proposed move from Chelsea to Birmingham was wrecked by Carl Jenkinson's shoulder injury.

Centre-half Clarke-Salter had been lined up for a loan spell at St Andrew's until scans confirmed Jenkinson, on loan from Arsenal, had dislocated his shoulder on his debut and would be ruled out for an extended period.
